Well, here's how it started. I searched through the various banks and credit unions of which I am a member and found the best interest rate on a used boat loan. Pretty smart I am. They even let me apply and approved me over the phone. Great, I thought. They overnighted me the paperwork and me and the owner started on it. Unfortunately, on one of the power of attorney's we made a mistake when we did the date and both being Navy men of over 20 years experience each of filling out (legally binding in any federal court) engineering and deck logs, lined out the mistake, made the correction and initialed it. I sent said paper work back to po-dunk redneck Mississppi bank and lo and behold, because of a stray mark and correction to paperwork that is duplicated in the package anyway we have to re-do the power of attorney.
After 6 phone calls and 2 hang-ups and 30 total minutes of hold time later I finally get them to fax me a blank power of attorney, which we filled out and resent to them(overnighted at a cost of $16.25). Hopefully, it's acceptable to them this time. Don't mind being on hold to get to the right person, but this was an automated system that hung up on me twice. J. C. on a flaming pogo stick people get a better system. You're a bank, I know you've got the money; and maybe when you get the new system you can get some better hold music instead of the 70's porno, funk, theme-from- Shaft stuff you have now.
Hopefully this week the two banks can talk to each other in that whole different breed of redneck lingo that they use, and get their stuff into the perverbial sock of financing and we can push this deal through. I don't mean to insult rednecks because I am one, (raised in KY, been living in FL for the last 15 years) but MS breeds a whole different species.
